The Park is part of 16km of extensive dunes and sandy beach stretching from Aberdeen to Newburgh. The sheer size of the beach means it is seldom crowded and makes it possible to find a quiet spot at any time of the year.

The dunes offer habitats to many animals and birds. Skylarks and waders are commonly seen on the shoreline. There is a network of boardwalks through the dunes from the bus stop. Shell spotters will find an abndance of fine specimens.Parking
