Burgh Island Beach

Bigbury, Devon

Once a famous pirate haunt, Burgh Island lies adjacent to Sedgewell Cove with two beaches only exposed at low water. The Murray rocks are east of the island and popular with scuba divers. Privately owned and popular with holiday makers and coastal walkers. Great pub and hotel on the island with the owners apparently willing to ferry customers by tractor at high tide.
