Camber Beach

This very popular foreshore contains the only sand dunes in East Sussex, and provides an ideal family beach with a wide expanse of sand fronting the dunes. Very popular with windsurfers and kite-boarders. See also Broomhill.

Nature and Wildlife

South Coast cycle route 2 passes through Camber (SusTrans). Pleasant walks to the historic town of Rye through SSSI conservation areas. Excellent variety of flora and fauna in conservation areas with a number of restored gravel pits providing good habitat

The car park. providing approximately 3000 spaces (including disabled spaces). is adjacent to the beach. There is a charge for parking.

The beach is cleaned daily by the District Council. Dog & litter bins are provided.

Dogs

Dogs are allowed between May and September but must be on a lead and restricted between Zones F & H on the beach.
