Crimdon - Park Beach

Hartlepool, County Durham

A pleasant sandy beach backed by some sand dunes and a nature reserve. Crimdon had it's heyday back in the 1950's where it was very popular with day-trippers. It has since fallen into disrepair although it is set to benefit from a re-generation scheme.

Nature and Wildlife

There are two nature reserves in the area. one to the north and one to the south and this is Durhams only area of sand dunes. Lies on the Durham Coast Path.
