Dalgety Bay (Yacht Club) Beach
Edinburgh, Fife
A large wide bay and a smaller sandy beach which looks out across the Firth of Forth towards Edinburgh. Qualified for recommendation by MCS in 2006 on the basis of tests for bacterial and viral pathogens. However. it is NOT RECOMMENDED for bathing because the beach is now known to be affected by historic low level radioactive contamination originating from luminous aircraft dials.
