A shingle beach sheltered within the harbour walls. Easily accesible and with seaside facilities such as cafes and parking. There's a regatta on Dover beach on 12th & 13th August.

Nature and Wildlife

The seafront forms part of the White Cliffs Countryside Project which also includes nature trails along the River Dour and the White Cliffs.The Viking cycle route runs along the promenade at Dover. Seals are occasionally sighted within the harbour.

Cleaning and Litter

The Harbour Board is responsible for the maintenance of the beach. It is cleaned daily and there are litter bins available. The beach suffers from occasional litter.

Dogs

Dogs are banned from the beach all year round.

Access

From Folkestone. take the A20 into Dover. turn right at the Prince of Wales roundabout and pass over the Swingbridge. Turn left onto the seafront. Parking all along the seafront.

Dover Priory train station is 20 mins walk from the beach. and 15 mins walk from the nearest bus station in the town centre.
