Kells Beach

Caherciveen, Kerry

A sandy beach in a rural environment with a small harbour closeby. The whole area is rich in flora and fauna and is both a Special Area of Conservation and Natural Heritage Area. Kells is an idyllic harbour on the northern coastline of the Iveragh Peninsula.

The Kells post office on the N70 has a restaurant and shop but other facilities are located in Caherciveen



Nature and Wildlife

The Golden Mile is a scenic nature walk. which takes in the magnificent views over the Dingle Peninsula and Kells bay and offers superb photographic opportunities. The nature walk is adjacent to Pats Craft Shop in Kells.

Beach is cleaned regularly.


Dogs required to be on a leash and dog fouling removed.
