Mullaghroe Beach

Belmullet, Mayo

Exposed sandy shore, located near the Blacksod Bay in an area of scientific interest. The land surrounding the shore is brackish. Salt marshes are present in sheltered inlets and provide feeding and breeding grounds for the bird population.

Access

The beach is located 6 miles from Belmullet town on the R313. After you pass Elly Bay. travel for another couple of miles. If you arrive at the church you have gone too far. A left hand turn will signal Trá. follow this road to the coast.
