Ogmore Central Beach

Bridgend, Bro Morgannwg / the Vale of Glamorgan

Popular west facing beach of mixed sand and pebbles, two miles long, at mouth of the river Ogmore. Suffers very badly from litter and refuse, but still popular with families, surfers and canoeists. The beach has a surf club and toilets but no other immediate facilities apart from an omni-present ice cream van. Great local pubs half mile up river by Ogmore Castle.
