Poppit Sands - West Beach

Newport, Benfro / Pembrokeshire

Poppit Sands West is a large sandy beach at the mouth of the Afon Teifi within Cardigan Bay and backed by sand dunes. The river has a number of slipways and harbours meaning fishing and sailing are popular pursuits.

Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Coast Path. Cardigan bay is well known for it's exiting marine wildife such as Seals. Porpoise and even Bottlenose Doplhins.

Access

Poppit is at the end of the B4546 which branches off the A487 just to the south of Cardigan.

Public Transport

The Poppit Rocket bus services runs three times a day around the whole Pembrokeshire coast. starting at Cardigan at 9am. lunchtime and in the evening. This service runs seven days a week.
