Nature and Wildlife

The South West Coast Path along the top of the cliffs north towards Chapel Porth makes a wonderful scenic walk. Care should be taken when walking on the beach to Chapel Porth. as the tides come in quickly and cover this stretch of coast completely.

There is car parking for 137 cars. Between 1st April and 30th September there is a charge. There are also 4 disabled spaces.

Cleaning and Litter

The beach is cleaned daily and manually from week before Easter till 1st October by Carrick District Council. Litter bins provided. At other times dog litter bins provided.

Dogs

Dogs are banned between Easter and October.

Access

At Chiverton Cross roundabout on the A30 take the exit signposted St Agnes and then Porthtowan. Travel along the B3277 for about one mile and turn left following the signs for Porthtowan.
