Tal-y-bont Beach

Barmouth, Gwynedd

Also known as Benar Beach, Tal-y-Bont forms part of the large sand dune system of Morfa Dyffryn. During the last few years a shingle bank has developed along the high water mark. This is a very popular tourist and residential beach serviced by campsites.

Cleaning and Litter

Gwynedd Council cleans the beach daily during peak season. both mechanically and manually. The beach accumulates litter and fishing debris.

Dogs

Dogs are banned from the beach from April until September. dog bins are provided.

Access

The beach is just off the A496. 6 miles south of Harlech and 4 miles north of Barmouth. Access to the beach is through the car park and takes about 5 minutes.
