Thurlestone - South Beach

Thurlestone, Devon

These two beaches are set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Coarse sand with rocky outcrops and plenty of rock pools to explore at low tide. The most prominent feature is the famous Thurlstone Rock, best seen at high tide.

Off the A379 follow signs for Thurlestone and South Milton and then signs to both beaches.

There is an occasional bus service (First in Devon Service 162) to Thurlestone and South Milton village. The nearest railway stations are Plymouth and Totnes.
